Dispute Process
Most trades finish without issue. When they don't, here is exactly how PaySafeGuard reviews the trade and decides where the funds go.
1. Open the dispute
Either party tells us in the trade chat that something went wrong. Funds stay held with PaySafeGuard and nothing is released while a dispute is open.
2. Both sides submit evidence
We ask each party for the same things: the agreed terms, proof of delivery or non-delivery, timestamps, and any relevant chat logs or screenshots.
3. We review
We compare the evidence against what was agreed at the start of the trade. If something is unclear, we go back to both parties before deciding.
4. Decision and release
Funds are released to the buyer, the seller, or split, depending on what the evidence shows. We explain the reasoning to both parties.
Evidence we ask for
- The original agreed terms (item, price, delivery method, deadline).
- Proof of delivery: transfer screenshots, in-game logs, or platform confirmations with timestamps.
- Proof of the item's condition or contents where relevant (screenshots, video).
- The full chat between buyer and seller, not selected excerpts.
How we decide
- Nothing is released while a dispute is open.
- We decide on evidence, not on who complains loudest or first.
- Edited or falsified evidence ends the trade in the other party's favour.
- If the seller delivered exactly what was agreed, the funds go to the seller.
- If delivery never happened or was materially different, the buyer is refunded.
