Terms of Service
These terms explain how PaySafeGuard works as a middleman and what both sides of a trade agree to.
1. What PaySafeGuard does
PaySafeGuard is an escrow (middleman) service for digital trades such as in-game items, usernames, accounts, and similar virtual goods. We hold the buyer's funds while the seller delivers, and release them once both sides confirm the trade is complete.
PaySafeGuard is not a party to the trade itself. We do not own, appraise, or guarantee the digital goods being exchanged.
2. Using the service
You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your country and old enough to use the platforms you are trading on.
Both the buyer and the seller must agree to the trade terms in writing with us before any funds are sent.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, including wallet addresses, account handles, and payout information.
3. Fees
Fees are charged per trade and are based on the trade value. The current fee tiers are published on our fees page and are confirmed with you before a trade starts.
Unless agreed otherwise, the fee is deducted from the amount released to the seller.
4. Prohibited trades
We do not handle trades involving stolen goods or accounts, chargeback-prone payment methods used in bad faith, illegal goods or services, or anything that breaks the rules of the platform the asset lives on where we have been made aware of it.
We may decline or cancel a trade at any point if we believe it falls into one of these categories.
5. Disputes
If the buyer and seller disagree, either side can open a dispute. Our review process is described on the dispute process page.
Our decision in a dispute is based on the evidence both sides provide. Providing false evidence ends the trade in the other party's favour.
6. Limitation of liability
Our responsibility is limited to the funds we are holding for the trade in question. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, account bans issued by a third-party platform, or actions taken by the other party outside our process.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. The version published on this page at the time your trade starts is the one that applies to it.
